Original film Lobby Card Set of 8 for the 1976 MGM-United Artists black comedy-drama “Network”directed by Sidney Lumet, written by Paddy Chayefsky & starring Faye Dunaway, William Holden, Peter Finch, Robert Duvall, Ned Beatty & Beatrice Straight. It depicts a TV network struggling with poor ratings until the nightly live broadcast of its longtime news anchor Howard Beale (Peter Finch) inadvertently showcases his breakdown into increasingly psychotic behavior, which makes his show a surprise hit.
This completely unrestored & virtually unused theatrical film lobby card (11” x 14”) set of 8 is in very good to near mint condition. Cards have very slight wear & tears & faint smudging. This set of lobby cards are really in terrific condition.
“Network” received widespread critical acclaim, with particular praise for its screenplay & performances. At the 49th Oscars, it received 10 nominations, including Best Picture & won four: Best Actr, Actress, Supporting Actress & Screenplay.
