An adorable vintage handcrafted gray felt mouse ornament. She's wearing a blue dress with tiny white polka dots and a crocheted lace collar. She's carrying a very stylish crocheted handbag. She has a little gray felt tail and whiskers. Her body feels "stuffed." The felt used to make her might be wool. I don't know for sure. She comes with a little gold cord for hanging.
This was purchased at the estate sale of a couple in their nineties who loved and collected cat, dog, polar bear, rabbit, and mouse related items. One or both were artists. (I don't know if one of them made this or if it was purchased.) It's not maker marked.
Based on their other collections, I would date this to the 1980s/1990s.
She reminds me of a character from a Beatrix Potter children's book. She's in very nice condition with no issues.
