Original Iconic and Mysterious the Michigan Petoskey Stone/ Fossil. Living a hop skip and jump away from 4-5 Lake Michigan beaches I’ve hunted these Gems for numerous years. I’ll try to make this short but it may be difficult explaining the series of tumbling rocks and fossils. I own two tumblers and I personally hand sand a lot of these stones. I don’t have the luxury of having industrial sanding equipment so my elbow grease is how I get these gems to shine. Many hours I spend hand sanding and with this particular piece adding resin would make its beautiful colors pop as if it was still wet sitting on the shore.
