This beautiful antique glass insulator has been upcycled by me into a stunning candle/tea light holder that will add a touch of vintage charm to any decor. It comes with a candle tealight candle and a battery led candle with a built in timer. When turned on stays on for 6hr and turns off for 18 then back on for 6. Very cool. Stands about 6.25" sitting on dish.
Tealight sits in a bed of pretty blue gravel. Sits on a pretty vintage glass dish with some new green Ivy wrapped around the plate.
The period from 1875 to 1930 might generally be thought of as the “heyday” of the glass insulator. Hundreds of millions of these glass “bells” were produced during this time by many glasshouses, located primarily in the East and Midwest with a few plants in California and Colorado. "
