지난 15일 발생한 경미한 교통사고 후 촉발된 총격으로 사망한 고(故) 신진일씨의 장례식(천국환송예배)이 어제(23일) 저녁 7시 달라스 중앙연합감리교회당에서 열렸습니다.
이날 예배에는 신씨의 유가족과 지인들, 달라스한인회 유성주 회장, 민주평통달라스협의회 김원영 회장 등 지역 단체장 및 한인 동포들이 많이 참석해 신씨의 마지막 길을 애도했습니다.
예배를 집도한 윤유종 목사는 유가족들과 참석자들에게 천국의 소망으로 위로를 전했습니다. 이어 신씨의 여동생 케리 신과 친구 대니리 씨에 의한 조사가 이어졌습니다. 이들은 조사를 통해 자신의 삶을 열심히 살았고, 그 누구보다 용감했고 든든했던 오빠이자 친구를 영원히 잊지 못할 것이라며 신씨를 기억해 달라고 전했습니다.
1979년생으로 이른 영면에 든 고(故) 신진일씨의 하관식은 오늘(24일) 오전 10시 코펠에 위치한 Rolling Oaks Cemetery Pavillion에서 열립니다.
