가뭄으로 강바닥이 드러나 발견된 거대한 공룡 발자국

텍사스 글랜로즈의 ‘공룡공원’에서 심각한 가뭄으로 강바닥이 드러나면서 1억1300만 년 전의 공룡 발자국이 대거 발견되면서 학자들의 비상한 관심을 끌고 있습니다.

공원 측은 22일 “두발로 서서 보행하고 행동이 민첩한 아크로칸토사우루스의 발자국이 발견됐으며 이들은 15피트 키에 7톤에 가까운 몸집을 갖고 있었다”고 설명했습니다.

추가로 발견된 사우론포세이돈의 발자국도 매우 희귀한 것으로 여겨지고 있습니다. 이들은 60피트의 키에 44톤이 넘는 몸무게를 가졌다고 공원 측은 소개했습니다. 텍사스는 올해 들어 60%의 지역이 가뭄을 겪고 있으며 100도 이상의 고온으로 건조 주의보가 계속 이어졌습니다.
