박진 한국 외교부 장관이 윤석열 대통령의 국정 과제로 설정된 재외동포업무 전담 기구인 재외동포청 설치 계획을 구체적으로 밝혔습니다.
박 장관은 18일 국회 외교통일위원회 전체회의에서 재외동포청 구성안을 통해 외교부 소속 외청으로 재외동포청을 설치하고 재외동포재단의 업무 흡수 등을 통해 150∼200명 규모로 조직을 꾸리겠다고 밝혔습니다.
박 장관은 “동포청 설치를 위한 정부조직법 개정 등을 마련 중”이라며 “재외동포재단 해산, 추가 인력 채용 등 행정 조치를 통해 내년 초 재외동포청 출범 목표로 추진하겠다”고 부연했습니다. 재외동포 단체들이 꾸준히 제안해 재외동포청 설치는 윤석열 대통령도 후보 시절 공약한 사안입니다.

I do love the manner in which you have framed this particular problem plus it does supply us a lot of fodder for thought.
