북텍사스(North Texas) 대부분 지역에 내일 오후부터 겨울 폭풍 주의보가 발령됐습니다. 올 겨울 가장 강력한 한파가 될 것으로 보입니다. 소피아 씽 기자입니다.

<기자> 내일(2일, 수) 북텍사스에는 하루 종일 비가 내리면서 오후부터 기온이 급격히 떨어질 것으로 예보됐습니다. 또한 북극 한파의 영향으로DFW 지역에 진눈깨비가 내릴 것으로 예상되면서 도로 상황 악화로 운전시 주의를 기울일 것이 당부됐습니다.

이같은 날씨는 모레인 목요일(3일) 오전까지 지속될 것으로 보이는데, 오후엔 눈으로 바뀔 가능성도 있습니다. 다만 기상청은 강수 유형 및 양은 아직 확신할 수 없으며 기상 예보를 면밀히 모니터해 나갈 것이라고 밝혔습니다. 

또한 당일 날씨 상황에 따라 정확한 겨울 강수량에 대한 정보가 제공될 것으로 전해졌습니다. 이에 현재로서는 얼어붙은 도로와 다리가 수요일 밤부터 시작되어 적어도 금요일 아침까지 계속되는 위험한 운전 상황이 나타날 수 있습니다. 

이번 주 목요일과 금요일은 매우 추울 것으로 보이며, 낮 최고 기온은 20~30도에 불과하고 최저 기온은 10도 중반대까지 떨어지겠습니다. 이에 집안팎의 수도 파이프 동파 방지, 식물 및 애완 동물을 보호에 만전을 기하도록 당부됐습니다. 달라스 DKnet 뉴스 소피아 씽입니다.

  • CDC는 코로나19 전염률이 높은 지역에서는 백신 접종을 마친 사람도 실내외 공공장소에서 마스크를 착용할 것을 권고하고 있습니다.
  • CDC는 예방접종 상태와 상관없이 모든 교사, 직원, 학생 및 학교 방문객에게 실내 마스크 착용을 권고하고 있습니다. 
  • 코로나 19가 의심되거나 확진자와 접촉한 사람은 3-5일 이내에 검사를 실시하고 14일 또는 음성 검사 결과를 받을 때까지 마스크를 착용할 것을 권고하고 있습니다.
  • 무증상 감염자의 경우에는 5일간 격리를 권고하고 있으며, 격리 기간이 끝난 뒤에도 추가로 5일간 마스크를 착용해야 합니다. 
  • 백신 미접종자와 접종 완료 후 6개월이 지난 사람도 확진자 접촉 후 5일간 격리한 뒤 추가로 5일간 마스크를 써야 하고 격리할 수 없는 상황이면 10일간 마스크를 착용해야 합니다.
  • 미국으로 들어오거나 미국 내를 이동하거나 미국에서 출발하는 비행기, 버스, 기차, 기타 대중교통수단을 이용할 때 그리고 공항, 역 등 교통 허브에서는 마스크 착용이 필수입니다. 
  • 미국행 항공편에 탑승하기 전 1일 이내에 (백신 접종 상태와 관계없이) COVID-19 바이러스 검사를 받아야 합니다. 비행기 탑승 전에 항공사에 음성 확인서를 제시해야 합니다.
