다음 달(9월) 하순경 개최되는 텍사스 스테이트 페어(State Fair of Texas) 행사에서 많은 사람이 모이는 장소와 실내에선 방문객들의 마스크 착용이 의무화됩니다. 다만 스테이트 페어의 상징인 빅 텍스(Big Tex)는 마스크를 착용하지 않을 것으로 알려졌습니다.
스테이트 페어 조직위는 사람들이 많이 모이는 실외 장소와 개별 소매 부스 그리고 실내에서 백신 접종 여부와 상관 없이 마스크를 의무적으로 착용하게 될 것이라고 밝혔습니다. 이어 모든 행사 방문객들이 방역을 위한 각자의 역할을 이행하고 타인을 존중하고 옳은 일을 하기를 요청한다며, 현재 보건 상황이 135년 전통의 스테이트 페어에 도전이 되고 있다고 밝혔습니다.
스테이트 페어 조직위는 행사 방문객들에게 코로나 19 백신 접종이나 음성 확진 관련 증명서 제출은 요구되지 않겠지만 사회적 거리 두기와 행사장 곳곳에 비치된 손 소독제 사용 그리고 몸 상태가 안 좋을 경우 집에 머물기 같은 방역 수칙은 준수하도록 촉구했습니다.
달라스 카운티는 올해 행사에서 방문객들에게 무료 백신 접종과 함께 식품 구입이나 관광 명소 입장에 사용할 수 있는 20달러짜리 쿠폰을 제공할 예정입니다. 텍사스 스테이트 페어 행사는 다음 달 24일부터 10월 17일까지 열립니다.

- CDC는 코로나19 전염률이 높은 지역에서는 백신 접종을 마친 사람도 실내 공공장소에서 마스크를 착용할 것을 권고하고 있습니다.
- CDC는 예방접종 상태와 상관없이 모든 교사, 직원, 학생 및 학교 방문객에게 실내 마스크 착용을 권고하고 있습니다.
- 코로나 19가 의심되거나 확진자와 접촉한 사람은 3-5일 이내에 검사를 실시하고 14일 또는 음성 검사 결과를 받을 때까지 마스크를 착용할 것을 권고하고 있습니다.
- 다만, 무증상인 경우에는 노출이 확인된 후에도 검사를 받지 않으나, 특정 환경에 한해서는 일부 예외가 적용됩니다. 또한 무증상인 경우에는 노출이 확인된 후에도 예방격리를 하지 않습니다.
- 미국으로 들어오거나 미국 내를 이동하거나 미국에서 출발하는 비행기, 버스, 기차, 기타 대중교통수단을 이용할 때 그리고 공항, 역 등 교통 허브에서는 마스크 착용이 필수입니다.
- 미국에 도착하는 백신 접종을 완전히 완료한 국제 여행객도 여전히 비행기 탑승 전 3일 내에 검사를 받아야 하며(또는 COVID-19에서 회복된 지 3개월이 지나지 않았음을 증명하는 문서 제시) 여행 후에도 여전히 3-5일 이내에 검사를 받아야 합니다.
