귀넷 카운티 경찰이 카운티내 교통안전 집중 단속을 실시하고 있습니다.
귀넷 경찰은 지난 14일 ‘오퍼레이션 드라이브 세이프 귀넷(Operation Drive Safe Gwinnett)’이라는 교통안전 작전을 가동하고 다음달 중순까지 한달 간 집중 단속 기간을 갖고 있습니다.
단속은 귀넷 경찰을 포함해 특별 단속 부서에서 진행하고 있습니다.
귀넷 경찰은 성명을 통해 “이번 작전은 위험한 운전 습관을 지닌 운전자들이 안전하게 운전하도록 지도하고 교통 사고 발생을 줄이기 위함”이라고 밝혔습니다. 이어 “단속은 귀넷 카운티 전역에서 시행되며 사고가 증가한 곳이나 위험 운전으로 민원 접수가 늘어난 곳을 중심으로 이뤄질 것”이라고 덧붙였습니다.
당국은 또한 안전벨트 착용의 중요성도 강조했습니다.
